Cowork space
Coursework / Client work

Summary: Cowork space service concept for upcoming Cowork space at Break Sokos Hotel Tahko. This concept is part of project, which I made together with Jenni Rissanen and Sanna Rytkönen. The project included three different service concepts for local services in the Kuopio Tahko area. Cowork space concept was on my responsibility. We made schedule and design plan together with Jenni and Sanna. They also provided comments and support. Alongside client work this was also coursework for school.

Problem: Upcoming Cowork space at Break Sokos Hotel Tahko has large target group. It is an open working area located in hotel lobby and it can be used for example by hotel customers, customers of local services and remoteworkers. The challenge was to identify service features that would be important for the target group. The concept needed to consider various factors such as space functionality, digital elements, experientiality and creativity.

Solution: Key elements in this design process were customer personas and customer paths. With them I was able to look at the Cowork space through the eyes of the customer. This way I was able to find out what functions and features would be needed for the Cowork space. With interviewing the client with tone of voice questions I was able to find out client's wishes and expectations for Cowork space.
The customer was satisfied with the service concept of the Cowork space. However, the concept was not implemented.
